Independent advice on an EPM platform replacement

Provided independent advisory support to a global industrial manufacturing group weighing a replacement for its legacy EPM platform. We reviewed the products, helped shape the shortlist, took part in the vendor meetings, and ran a structured comparison of the final three before giving a steer on product fit and the wider technology roadmap, working alongside the client's Business Support team, and through them their technical, hosting and vendor teams.

SAP BPC on AzureAdvisory + Assurance

SAP BPC EPM deployment, hosted on the client's own Azure

Supported a UK-listed international manufacturing group across its SAP BPC programme, from helping shape and understand the requirements and RFP and feeding into the evaluation, through to the vision, strategy and business case for deployment on the client's own Azure tenant, delivered by a hosting partner and VAR. We owned the high-level technical design and provided QA and independent advisory throughout, with the client in control of their own environment.

Si BCS was founded by Simon Bell to give organisations EPM advice they can trust, driven by what the client needs, with any interest disclosed up front. In 2025, Ahtishaam Khan joined Simon as a partner, adding deep technology leadership and the ability to deliver, not just recommend. The two built Opal Wave together, the SAP EPM and analytics specialist acquired by Sapphire Systems, now part of NTT DATA, and now bring that depth to an independent firm.
